The purpose of Ansar Shrine's Public Relations Program is to inform the . general public and the Shrine members of the purposes, objectives and . activities of: . the Shrine Clubs that are in the various local areas; . the Ansar Shrine Center; . the St. Louis, Chicago, and Cincinnati Shriners Hospitals; and, . Imperial Shrine. . . . PROGRAM OFFICIALS . . Each of Ansar's 21 shrine clubs have a club president-appointed "Club . Public Relations Officer" (CPRO). These CPROs are assisted by a . potentate-appointed "Public Relations Chairman" (PRC). . . . DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES . . The PRC duties are to ensure each Shrine Club has a CPRO appointed . by March 15 of each year, and to provide the CPROs with approved . materials that may be used in the public relations program efforts. These . materials include: . Bulletins, , Pamphlets, . Brochures, . News Releases, . Video Tapes, . Speakers Kits, and . Other items as they become available. . . The CPROs are generally responsible for the actually informing the . the public and members using the above materials. . . Public Relations . . Television, Radio, and Newspapers - Establishing and maintaining . contact with the media outlets that will broadcast or distribute the . public relations information.
. Guest Speakers - the CPROs should contact other services, . fraternal organizations, schools, business groups, luncheons, and . like grouips offering to provide a speaker for their meeting. These . speakers may be someone in Shrine Club or someone from
. Member Relations . . Shrine Club Meetings - Presenting meeting attendees audio and . video and other public relations materials to keep members informed .
